Be Intelligent is looking for a full time Junior Technical Consultant to join our team of technical experts and experienced end users in Auckland.

 

This role will operate at the forefront of technology, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer and providing innovative and tailored solutions where out-of-the-box falls short.

 

Not purely a Salesforce role, we're looking for diverse frontend and technology skill as well as superb functional capability and you will have the flexibility to Trailblaze new applications, languages and processes to improve our service offerings.

About the role
You will support the team with your technical know-how, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
Key responsibilities include: 
Technical problem solving: 
  • Involvement in client discovery when required
  • Keeping up to date on relevant technology developments so you can recommend custom solutions for clients as appropriate
Solution design and build:
  • Assisting in building out custom solutions within Salesforce using Apex etc
  • Building out front-end solutions utilising Javascript, HTML etc
  • Utilising other programming languages to build external (to Salesforce) solutions
  • Assisting with functional build as when required
Project Management:
  • Working closely with our Project Managers to create and assist in the writing of Stories, Epics and Acceptance Criteria / Business Driven Development of Test Driven Development  
  • Ensuring all tasks are updated in our internal communication platforms
  • Log alls time through Harvest ensuring billable hours target is met weekly
  • Ensuring deadlines are met
  • Providing status updates to the Lead Technical Consultant and / or Service Delivery Manager
Customer Services:
  • Delivering exceptional customer service when client facing
  • Demonstrating a can do attitude and solution-focused approach
  • Assisting in creating documentation and 'how to' guides for end users of the software solutions developed
Relationship Management:
  • Taking part on gteam stand-ips and internal meetings as required 
  • Collaborating with colleagues and clients to achieve the best outcomes for our business and our clients
Health and Safety:
  • Following all relevant health and safety procedures
  • Raising any concerns and notifying any workplace incidents
  • Taking all practicable steps to avoid workplace incidents

About you

  • 1+ year's experience in a similar role
  • A passion for the Salesforce suite of products 
  • Experience with Apex, Java or similar languages
  • Experience with Javascript, HTML, and CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap and React
  • Experience with version control such as Bitbucket, Git, Github etc
  • A track record of successful delivery / implementation
  • Experience working in an agile environment 
  • Comfort / familiarity with Confluence, Jira or task management systems
  • Ability to communicate technical issues / concepts to non-technical clients and colleagues
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with functional delivery of Salesforce a bonus but not essential
  • Salesforce certification a bonus but not essential
  • A can do attitude and approach to problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability as a team player
  • Keep up to date with the latest digital trends and developments - love of tinkering with new tools
  • Excellent communications skills - not afraid to ask questions and have the ability to communicate clearly and simply to all levels internally and externally
  • Customer friendly
  • Ability to work in Aoteroa being a NZ citizen, have permanent residency or a valid working visa
